Financial Resources for Cancer counseling

I know that a cancer diagnosis can wreak havoc on finances. If you are experiencing financial hardship, you may qualify for assistance with counseling expenses that are related to your cancer diagnosis.

Please ask me about these options during your consultation and we can check your eligibility.

Out-of-Network Insurance Reimbursement

I do not currently accept insurance, however you may be able to be reimbursed for our sessions through an out-of-network claim.

I am considered an Out-of-Network Provider.  My clients pay me directly, and I give my clients an invoice (also known as a “Super Bill”) that they submit to their insurance company as an out-of-network claim.

Depending on what kind of out-of-network benefits you have, you will either receive a full reimbursement (as many of my clients do), a partial reimbursement, or if you have a high deductible plan it will count towards your deductible and you will not receive a reimbursement.  It all depends on your insurance plan!

To get started, please contact your insurance company and ask if they provide out-of-network benefits for mental health!

Ray of Hope Colorado

I can help you apply for a Ray of Hope Mental Health Support Grant Application that may help pay for sessions with a Cancer Therapist.

HealthWell Foundation

If you are experiencing financial hardship, you may qualify for assistance with counseling expenses that are related to your cancer diagnosis through the HealthWell Foundation.   The first step is to look at this document to review the "Income Guidelines" to see if you meet their Household Income Limit.  HealthWell assists families with incomes up to 500% of the Federal Poverty Level (Use the column labeled 500% Level).
